What we do

Every roof, done down to the deck

  • Full tear-offs, including multi-layer roofs

We strip every layer down to the decking, replace soft or rotted boards, and start clean. No roofing over old shingles.

  • Shingle and metal roofing

Architectural and impact-rated shingles for homes. Metal for whole houses, patio covers, shops and outbuildings.

  • Hail and storm damage

After a storm we inspect and repair or replace depending on what the damage calls for.

  • Insurance claim documentation

Photos and a clear written scope of the damage for your adjuster, and we can meet them on the roof.

Impact-resistant shingles

The next hailstorm is coming. Build the roof for it.

Impact-resistant shingles are tested by dropping steel balls on them (UL 2218). The higher the class, the bigger the hail they're rated to take without cracking. For most Collin County homes we recommend Class 4.

Standard

No impact rating

What's on most DFW roofs today. Fine until the first big hailstorm.

Class 3

Tested with 1¾" steel balls

A solid step up in hail resistance for a modest cost over standard shingles.

Class 4

Tested with 2" steel balls · our recommendation

The highest impact rating a shingle can get, and the one most insurers reward with a premium discount.

It can lower your insurance premium

Many Texas insurers offer a discount on a Class 4 roof. The amount depends on your company and policy, so call your agent. It often pays back part of the upgrade over time.

It protects the house, not just the roof

Cracked shingles let water into the decking and attic. A roof that shrugs off hail means fewer leaks, fewer claims, and fewer deductibles.

It usually costs less than you'd think

On a replacement, the difference is mostly the shingle itself. Labor, tear-off and underlayment stay about the same. We'll price both so you can see the gap.

It looks like any other roof

Class 4 architectural shingles come in the same colors and profiles as standard ones. Nobody on your street will know the difference.

Questions

Roofing questions we hear most

Should I upgrade to Class 4 impact-resistant shingles?

In most of Collin County, yes. Hail is the main reason roofs get replaced here. A Class 4 shingle holds up better to hail, and many Texas insurers give a premium discount for a UL 2218 Class 4 roof. Ask your agent what the discount is on your policy, and we'll price both options so you can compare.

Do you work with my insurance company?

Yes. We inspect the roof, photograph and document the damage, and give you what your adjuster needs. We can be there for the adjuster's inspection. You stay in control of your claim; we make sure the damage is documented clearly.

My house has two layers of shingles. Can you replace it?

Yes. We tear off every layer down to the decking, replace any rotted or soft decking we find, and start clean. Roofing over an old layer hides problems, so we don't do it.

Do you install metal roofs?

Yes, on homes, patios, shops and outbuildings. Metal is a good fit for low-slope patio covers and metal buildings, and it's a long-lasting option for a whole house.

Are you licensed?

Texas doesn't issue a state license for residential roofers or general contractors. We're fully insured, and we have 20+ years in the trade and a 5.0-star rating across 12 reviews.
